Kelvin’s history in the field of law makes him well- able to deliver advice and expertise on the full range of legal issues and requirements from property law to trusts, wills and estate. And everything in between.
Like all lawyers however, Kelvin has a number of particular interests with which he loves to ‘grapple’, as the need arises.
The first of these has been on providing advice on residential and commercial property acquisitions and the creation of structures required to maximise wealth and protect it for the long-term benefit of his client base and, where relevant, their families.
Kelvin is also developing a reputation for developing alternative approaches to dispute resolution with a view to achieving results in a cost effective, non-stressful manner without recourse to the Courts.
Over the years, Kelvin has participated in a number of high profile property investment seminars for organisations including ANZ Bank New Zealand Limited, numerous mortgage brokers and financial planners. Due to his vast experience in the area of residential conveyancing, Kelvin was approached to contribute a chapter on the Agreement for Sale and Purchase of Real Estate for the publication “Residential Property Investments in New Zealand”.
Being in sole practice enables Kelvin to focus his attention on the needs of his clients, delivering fair-priced, plain English practical advice to a wide variety of loyal and satisfied clients, many of which he has acted for, for over a decade.
Mackie and Co is also dedicated to providing on-going community services, including a long historic participation in the Citizens Advice Bureau Roster, Auckland Budgetary Service, the support of local schools and a number of other charitable organisations.
Kelvin is happily married to Rachel and together they thrive on raising four young children.
In addition to his passion for the law, Kelvin also plays in a band, collects Ben Sherman clothing and avidly follows English Premier League football.
